Yellow Jackets

Pest Identification

This bee is most commonly found in the ground or seen entering into eaves or wall voids.  There is one queen and she produces drone workers that take care of the nest and the foraging.  Once the nest matures, the queen will create reproductive bees, both male and female, and these reproductive bees are the bees seen near eaves in the fall to overwinter in attic spaces or wall voids.  This bee can sting repeatedly and are very aggressive.

Our Method of Success

An exterior treatment can be done as a preventative measure to keep this bee from making nests on or in the structure, otherwise, a contact spray or dust may be used on larger nests.
