Bald Face Hornets

Pest Identification

This bee is easily identified by its lack of color.  A white color will take the place of the normal yellow found on bees.  They are an aggressive bee and will sting repeatedly if threatened.  They are not as aggressive as a yellow jacket, but caution should be taken near them.  They are known to build the typical paper nest but do so very fast.  It is not uncommon to witness a medium sized nest built within a two week period.

Our Method of Success

An exterior treatment can be done as a preventative measure to keep this bee from making nests on or in the structure, otherwise, a contact spray or dust may be used on larger nests.
